Begun in 1979 with the purchase of the first Pure Spanish Horse (P.R.E., Pura Raza Española), Oak Hill has become one of the recognized leaders in the U.S.A. for the quality of its herd of imported mares and for the impressive nature of their imported stallions. The foundation horses come from the lines of D. Miguel Angel de Cárdenas Osuna (Ecija, Spain), of the line of D. Samuel López Ortiz and his son D. Rafael López Candel (Albacete, Spain), of Tres Cotos (Jacobo Corsini Muñoz), and D. Ferràn Piqué LLussà (Barcelona, Spain). These horses have won for Oak Hill since 2000 in competition under Spanish judges: 34 gold medals; 26 silver medals; 16 bronze medals; 29 best movement medals; 22 championship titles and was twice (2000 and 2002) named Best Breeding Farm. The Oak Hill horses have been featured in photography by the famed Spanish photographers Paco Rey and Rafael Lemos, have appeared in the Best Breeding Farms of the World (Mejor Ganaderias del Mundo), and in parades and exhibitions from California to Texas. The horses from our breeding program can be found throughout the U.S.A. and in Canada, Mexico, Sweden, and New Zealand, to name a few countries. We invite you to enjoy the pictures sponsored on this website and contact us for more information about the horses on our farm.
