We selected our show horses for the 2012 season this week. In addition to seeing Fugitivo XII on the dressage court in CA, we will be seeking USDF, ANCCE and IALHA wins with Heroe de Honor LF, Ramses WAE, Fabulilla WAE, and Paso Doble WAE. Galea MHF is under saddle and will be shown at TR level later in the summer. Thanks to Susan Treabess, Antonio Topete, Valley Oak Ranch and everyone that makes these plans possible. WATCHMAN is very pleased to be able to present Fugitivo youngsters to the public and can't wait until 2013 when the first will be competing under saddle.

Zutano is the personal horse of our trainer, Antonio Topete who trains all of the classical Spanish equitation styles, Doma Vaquera, Domo Clasico, and Alta Esquela. Zutano is a bold moving 17hh 5 year old stallion. Of note is his noble nature, athleticism, and bone and structure. On March 31. 2011 Zutano EDA received approval as a breeding stallion by ANCCE. Fugitivo XII, Qualified PRE stallion, received qualifying scores for the 2012 London Paralympics over the weekend.

Susan Treabess, 2010 World Equestrian Games rider, has been training Fugitivo for the past 8 months hoping for a slot on the U.S. Paralympic Dressage Team who will travel to the 2012 London Paralympic Games. At the 2012 Rancho Valencia Dressage Affaire CPEDI3*, their first outing before international judges, this pair earned a qualifying score. However, Susan is expecting her first child this summer and will have to skip London.

Susan's focus for the weekend was establishing the baseline for future international competition. Susan says, "Fugitivo is such a wonderful horse: He is incredibly intelligent, has a huge personality. I have to form a relationship with him where we negotiate what we want. He is a fabulous horse and a blast to ride but right now we are focusing on getting him out, showing him, and forming a confident partnership. " Our game plan is to compete for the 2012 year in FEI Prix St. George and then hopefully try for the Norway World Equestrian Games."

Our wonderful Fugitivo XII filly, Alexandria, now belongs to Myra Johnson. Our congratulations go out and we are looking forward to all the news as this filly matures. She will be 17hh and has the highest quality movement of all the Fugitivo babies to date.

She came to WATCHMAN PRE Horse as a yearling and received her basic training from Antonio Topete before she was purchased by Shelley Clark as a 4 year old. On October 11, Ramses WAE was named the U;S. National Champion In Hand Sport Horse (Colts 3 years and under) at the IALHA National Horse Show. The judge was renowned International Dressage Luminary, Hilda Gurney and the score was 78. This fine Fugitivo XII colt is following his sire's footsteps. He is for sale.

We have to thank our lucky stars. In September we were blessed with two buckskin colts. One is from Bohemia de Fraile by Cuchares II and the other out of Belica de Fraile, again by Cuchares II. WATCHMAN PRE Horses congratulates Sr. Ramos on the purchase of our Champion Mare, Europa MHF. We hope he enjoys her for many years and that she gives him many beautiful PRE babies in the future.

We have new pictures of Llamativo WAE. He is a lovely 3 month old bay colt with a pedigree that goes back to Leviton 3 times. It is rare to see the chrome this guy has in the PRE breed and he carries the chestnut gene as well. He is in West Virginia for the next few months. Heroe will be presented to the public in the yearling colt class at Copa California on June 16. He was bred by Legacy Farms in Hollister CA and is one of the nicest Fugitivo XII colts we have seen to date. WATCHMAN wants to thank Legacy for trusted this colt to us and it will be our pleasure to show and develop him.

Zutano EDA was revised by the ANCCE representative on March 31, 2011. She remarked on his near perfect conformation and classic adherence to Spanish type and characteristics.

Oregon based Waterway Farm is owned by Katie Hill. We are happy to announce we have sent two very promising two year old fillies to Katie. Nobleza ADF is by Noble GF out of Nicola GF (Gaucho III x indiano XVIII mare) and Euforia YC is primarily from the Guardiola line. These two fillies will be bred to Kamiakin AK, Waterway's young dressage stallion. We wish Katie great success with these future pairings and will be watching for news of her successes in the future.

In return, we will be preparing two young dressage prospects from Waterway Farms for the market. Prospero W is by Soberbio XI and out of a good Trakehner mare. Atticus W is from a Kamiakin AK/Trakahner cross. Both colts have wonderful movement and good looks with plenty of potential.

Fugitivo brought home top honors from the USDF Dressage Show held in Las Vegas over Labor Day Weekend. Showing PSG for the first time, he was the High Point FEI Horse, He won the Grand Champion Sport Horse title and qualified for the 2010 Regional Finals. Lastly he performed in the Musical Freestyle Contest and won the $5000 prize with a score of 69.1. Fugitivo is available to the International Market with either fresh cooled or frozen semen. WATCHMAN PRE Horses has successfully harvested and implanted embryos from the Calificado mares, Fabulilla MR and Doctora AK into carefully selected recipient mares who are due to foal in the spring of 2011. Two foals out of Fabulilla MR and by Fugitivo XII are for sale. One foal from the Doctora AK/Acertijo JIM cross is available. Both sire and dam are national best movement winners. Every year, foals from these two mares are sold by the age of 2 weeks in the $20K range. These recipient mares can be purchased with their precious cargo. WATCHMAN PRE Horses now offers the science of Frozen and Fresh cooled Embryo technology using their two Calificado mares, Doctora AK and Fabulilla MR. The recipient mare can be of any breed and in any location as long as she is in good reproductive health and the breeder has the assistance of a veterinarian skilled in ET technology. Kenya WAE 2008 and Europeo WAE 2009 are two products of our breeding program we are keeping to see how they turn out. So far these two colts exhibit all the qualities wanted in a breeding stallion....conformation, movement, nobility and presence. Time will tell....

Solena RHR is one of the very few granddaughters of Ebanisto in North America. Her sire is Soberbio XII and her dam is Chanel (Denham bred). This lovely bay two year old has fantastic movement. The rest of 2009 will allow Solena to grow, receive basic training and give us time to get to know her. In 2010 look for her in the show ring. Kenya WAE is a member of WATCHMAN'S 2008 foal crop. He is developing into a genuine stallion prospect with beautiful Spanish characteristics however it's his movement that is so breath-taking. He will spend the next year growing up and learning his manners. He is a product of the careful and successful Nobleze del Guadiana program with Indiano VI on his sire side and Indiano XVIII from his dam.

Gavilan IV and Europa MHF have produced a very special colt. He is six weeks old in these pictures. He will remain at WATCHMAN and possibly become our herd sire.
