This young stallion has the substance & size so many riders are looking for. We had kept him to produce as our next performance stallion but regretfully due to personal health problems, this is no-longer possible.

He will take a few more years to mature; His sire was 8YO, before he had grown into a horse that could carry itself with ease. This gorgeous, genetically Black Dun youngster, is almost a replica of his sire, with the same beautiful, kind nature.

Like so many of our genuinely big 16h.h.++ horses, he is slow growing, so we have held off on starting him under saddle until this year when his growth evened out enough to start him in work. However, he has gone back into another growth spurt & one will need to be careful not to do too much, too soon. We can't be sure when he will stop.

For anyone who has dreamed of a Black horse, this is an opportunity not to be missed. And if your aim is dressage, Charlie could be your perfect match. His movement is superb, straight and powerful. As most people with knowledge of the breed would be aware, our horses are purpose bred for different areas of open performance and dominate Australia's breed classes, when shown in them.

This fellow has the short coupled, well rounded, with CLASSICAL LOOKS that should take him to the top within the breed, but we would like to see him reach his full potential in the dressage arena.

For the many people now interested in breeding Warlanders &/or participating in the Medieval art of jousting, this stallion has the size, substance & bone as well as the low center of gravity, ideal for a knight's destrier. And he will go very close to producing 100% Black or Black Dun progeny, depending on the colour genetics of the mare he covers.

PLEASE NOTE:- The ridden photo shows Charlie in the first week of dressage training. The comment we have from his trainer Heather Curry of Danson Dressage is ... "This is the quietest stallion we have ever had".
