Skelton Mountain Dream Ranch, LLC (SMDR) has been breeding Champion Pure Spanish Horses for MORPHOLGY, MOVEMENT and PERFORMANCE since 1991. In 2004, 2005 & 2006, SMDR was the NUMBER 1 BREEDER of PURE SPANISH HORSES for COMPETITIVE DRESSAGE in the United States and in 2005 & 2006, SMDR was in the Top 10 of all Breeds!(United States Equestion Federation) In 2007, SMDR horses won First Place USDF All Breed Awards for the P.R.E. at Intermediate I, Intermediate I Musical Freestyle, Prix St. Georges, 2nd Level and 2nd Level Musical Freestyle. Our Number 1 stallion, Enamorado VII, was imported from Maria Fernanda de Escalera de Escalera of Spain. He is showing Gran Prix in 2008 and has been trained and shown very successfully by the Olympic Competitor, Trainer and International Judge, Hilda Gurney. One of his offspring, Decoroso SMDR, is showing I-2 and will be showing Gran Prix in 2008. Decoroso SMDR has one of the most successful Dressage showing record of any P.R.E horse in the US. He was the USDF Musical Freestyle Challenge Award winner at 1st Level Musical Freestyle, USDF Region 5 Reserve Champion at Open 1st, 2nd and 3rd Levels and Intermediate I Musical Freestyles, USDF Region 5 Champion at 1st and 3rd Levels Musical Freestyles and Open 4th Level, USDF Reserve National Champion at 3rd and 4th Level Musical Freestyles. Our champion P.R.E.'s have not only Championship performance in Dressage, but also have championship Morphology. At the Pin Oak Charity P.R.E. Show in 2006, SMDR P.R.E.'s won the Yearling Colt Class and Best Movement in class (Kazan SMDR), Yearling Filly Class and Best Movement (Jerezana SMDR), Two Year Old Colt Class and Best Movement (Jubiloso SMDR), Four Year Old Mares Class and Best Movement (Ganadora SMDR), Reserve Champion Senior Stallion (Decoroso SMDR), Best Movement of Show (Ganadora SMDR) and Functionality Champion (Decoroso SMDR). Decoroso SMDR was the Champion Senior Stallion at the 2006 Celebration of the Pure Spanish Horse and the Reserve Functionality Champion. Ganadora SMDR finished 3rd in the Four Year old Mares Class.
