El Manteca Andalusians began in 1982 with the purchase of our first Andalusian, a first cross gelding named Galileo from El Caballo Blanco, WA. From that day we decided Andalusians were the breed we wanted to ride and so began our love of this magnificent breed. From there we bred our first foal Rocosa from a part Arab mare we owned and also purchased Jacaranda a first cross mare from El Caballo Blanco WA. We then purchased the young colt Bethungra El Manteco (left) from Sylvia Coyle from Bethungra Park Stud NSW and this young colt was to become the founding sire of El Manteca Spanish Horse Stud. Since then Bethungra El Manteco (Sunny) has sired many champion pure and part bred horses culminating in our magnificent stallion, El Manteca Praylor. Situated in Oldbury WA, our aim is to breed quality stock with exceptional temperament and conformation.
