Frans and Sylvia de Rooij have their breeding farm of "Estirpe Cartujana" PRE horses in Belgium close to the Dutch and German border. They have been breeding beautiful PRE horses since 1996 when they acquired top mares of the Las Lumbreras lineage, Bocado, Salvador Cortes and Cruces Morillo. Many of their horses have become champions along with their offspring such as Bolero LXXXV, Conquistador XXIV and Bonito XXII. The horses have high scores in conformation, gaits and their fine character having won prices in Holland, Belgium and Germany. In May 2006 the European championship of Estirpe Cartujana horses was held in Brussels, Belgium. Conquistador XXIV received gold medal as 6 year old competing against the finest breeders of Spain. Bolero LXXV received silver medal for stallions 7 years and older. The judging was performed by Don Juan Llamas. In dressage competition our stallion Bonito XXII has won many prices and is currently competing national in Belgium with rider Caroline Ulrici. Yearly we sell foals and fillies, also trained horses are for sale at our ranch and we have experience with transporting horses to other countries when sold.
