The Stud was established in order to produce the future Champions of the breed. Our aim is to produce a horse that is capable of successfully competing in every discipline and to promote the truly versatile and multifunctional abilities of this noble breed. The Stud owners select every horse personally and only when all our ‘boxes’ are ticked will a horse be chosen to be part of our breeding programme. Our horses need to be true to type, capable of performing (and winning) in the Show ring and able to prove their ridden abilities, and only then are they considered for purchase. We try to only purchase horses that have the purest Carthusian bloodlines, in order to maintain the true conformation and characteristics of this centuries old breed whilst at the same time selecting for the most flamboyant movement that is required of the modern sports horse. The majority of our stock descends from the most famous and notable Spanish horses of the breed, horses such as LEVITON, OLEAJE, EVENTO, LISONJERO VII, RECELOSO IV, KENIA VI. They have been bred by some of the most highly regarded breeders in Spain who have spent years rigorously selecting the best Champion lines from which to produce their own future Champions. These horses have proved themselves time and again on the National, International and Olympic circuits. We have selected the best, from the best.
